ECS100 + S185 + CLA2000 + TimeZero Software with US S57 Chart Pack

The ECS100 is a maritime PC system approved to IEC60945 and also accepted by ABS, LR, DNV, KR, RINA, CCS and BV ship classification societies.  As such it can be used as a bridge PC for a multitude of applications such as electronic charting (ECS), onboard communications, CCTV/thermal/AI camera or even general ship and yacht IT requirements.  It forms the heart of Digital Yacht’s ECS1000 electronic charting solution for smaller commercial vessels and large superyachts.

It is supplied fitted to a custom antivibration mounting platform for easy horizontal mounting to meet the regulatory requirements.  The PC system is powerful with an Intel Core 5 processor, 16GB RAM and a 1TB ultra rugged SSD hard drive.  A NVidia RTX A400 graphics card is fitted, capable of supporting up to 4 monitors with HD and UHD graphics so it’s an ideal processor for multi screen glass bridge applications such as TimeZero Pro with chart, radar, camera and sounder options.  Windows 11 Professional is pre-installed and licenced, but the platform can also run LINUX operating systems.

The TimeZero Professional ECS software is a powerful marine navigation solution designed to meet workboat regulatory requirements while delivering advanced charting and operational capabilities. It includes encrypted S57 NOAA chart support with automatic updates, ensuring accurate and up-to-date navigation data at all times.

The system offers flexible display options such as multiple chart views, split screens (including North Up and Course Up), and multi-monitor support with independent or mirrored displays. Users benefit from comprehensive route planning tools with safety checks, along with unlimited waypoints, tracks, routes, and custom boundaries.

Integrated tidal databases provide U.S. tidal heights and currents, while full AIS target overlays and MARPA graphics enhance situational awareness. The software supports seamless integration with GPS, AIS, radar, and onboard instruments via NMEA 2000, and offers optional radar and sounder compatibility.

Additional features include customizable alarms (depth, CPA, TCPA, anchor), weather overlays, and intuitive touchscreen operation with programmable keyboard controls, making it a versatile and user-friendly solution for professional marine environments.

The ECS1000 should connect to AIS and GPS/EPFD equipment.  The CLA2000 is a IMO approved Class A AIS transponder with connectivity for the ECS1000 and also a NMEA wireless interface for iPads and tablets which can be used for back up navigation with suitable apps.

CLA2000 is the ultimate SOLAS and inland waterway globally approved Class A AIS transponder. Water and weather proof to IP67 and a full integrated 5” hi-res colour display. The CLA2000 supports a wide range of functionality including electronic chart navigation with optional C-Map MAX charting and AIS target management.

The CLA2000 will find applications on SOLAS mandated vessels over 300GRT. workboats, rescue services, inland waterways users, RIBs and also recreational craft wanting premium AIS performance and safety.

It is supplied with a hi-bright, HD resolution S185 touchscreen monitor which supports charting software control such as pinch to zoom and panning and an on-screen keyboard if a traditional keyboard and mouse is not required.

S185 has many interfaces: HDMI, VGA, AV but also USB ports.

Front panel of the monitor is designed to carry IP65 rating which offer good level of protection against water. Once flush mounted, the monitor projects just 6mm from the front panel for a stylish and flush glass bridge display.
